ClockOn C-Pass and VTS:

The integrated C-Pass and VTS hardware systems have been developed to provide a fail safe method of registering time and attendance. Both systems operate independently of the local area network. The C-Pass unit is polled automatically by the ClockOn Service so as to maintain a real time log of attendance. Battery backup guarantees continued operation and security of the log in the event of either network down time or power failure.

Four versions of the C-Pass system are available:

1. Cabled reader (recommended):

Accredited installers locate the C-Pass unit in your back office, connect this to your back office computer and then install and connect one or more RF readers at any preferred location within 50 metres of the back office. VTS can be connected and commissioned concurrently.

2. Plug and Play:

The C-Pass unit is delivered pre connected and ready to go. The reader is mounted on the front of the cabinet (illustrated). The user connects the unit to a local power point and to a PC located within five metres of the cabinet. VTS can be connected and commissioned concurrently.

3. Portable C-Pass:

Powered by a 12 volt battery with local 240 v supply backup, this system can be fitted with either a card reader or a pre-enrolled finger scanner. After use, the attendance log can be downloaded on return of the C-Pass to head office. VTS can be connected and commissioned concurrently.

4. Wireless C-Pass:

Almost identical to plug and play, differing in requiring only a local 240 v power supply. Attendance log data is transmitted wirelessly, eliminating the need for data cabling between the C-Pass unit and a back office or local laptop computer. VTS can be connected and commissioned concurrently.

Backing up C-Pass with the VTS Umbrella:

All of the above versions, including Portable C-Pass, can be supported with the ClockOn VTS system, which itself is portable. VTS backup is particularly valuable when used in conjunction with a portable C-Pass and a pre-enrolled finger scanner.

Roving Employees:

Used in conjunction with the ClockOn Service, C-Pass has the unique capability of redirecting the log entries of roving employees to a selected remote database, while local entries are concurrently directed to an IP address on the local network.
