ClockOn VTS: A powerful new weapon in the fight against time theft
ClockOn VTSTM (Video Time Sheets) maintains a video record of employees clocking on and off. This serves as both a valuable new layer of the attendance record and as a permanent archive. Its prime purpose however is the deterrence of employees swapping PINs or cards (time theft), obviating the need for expensive biometrics.
VTS clips are triggered by the use of a key pad, proximity reader, finger scanner or other device. Two cameras record the employee approaching the reader and a third the act of physical registration. A fourth camera records employees who forget to clock on or off, a major time saver and productivity gain.
VTS clips are burned to DVD as part of the post payroll process and serve as a backup to whatever method of time capture is selected. They can be used not only for time sheet and breaks validation, but also for other applications such as child care, class room attendance OH&S attendance monitoring and general security. The technology has been sanctioned by the Workplace Surveillance Act.
This low cost Windows based multi camera system offers not only a powerful deterrent to time theft but also an expanded record of attendance. It is well accepted by employees and complements biometric and other methods of time and attendance capture. It can be used for the documentation of breaks as well as shift start and end times.
Employees have reacted positively to the system, specifically in relation to validating their identity, attendance and honesty of purpose. They recognise VTS as a valuable part of their employment record, of real benefit to themselves as well as to their employers.

Additional cameras can be deployed to record non paying customers or light fingered staff departing the premises with RF tagged goods.
